Scott Joseph Studio is a small-scale graphic design studio, focused on creative direction, web development, and publication and type design, and in close collaboration with artists, galleries, social organisations, as well as independent makers and practitioners from various fields.
Central to the studio approach are practice based visual design principles that place emphasis on content as a premise for the creation of form, utilising the inherent conditions and contexts of a brief or assignment, as well as the dialogue as part of a commission, to locate renewed ways of developing bespoke representations of a process and its relative materials.
The studio has publications it's designed held in the public collections of the Museum of Modern Art, NYC and Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, and has been profiled in AIGA magazine, NYC, US and IDEA magazine, Tokyo, JP.
Joseph is a Gerrit Rietveld Academy alumni and has represented the UK at the International Biennale for Graphic Design in Brno, CZ, in both 2012 and 2016, and was a designer in residence in 2017 at Rogaland Kunstsenter, Stavanger, NO, and has held posts as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Graphic and Communication Design at Foundation, Undergraduate and Post Graduate level, on a fractional and full time basis, including at: University for the Creative Arts, UK (2014); University of East London, UK (2015); ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, Arnhem, NL (2016); Arts University Bournemouth, UK (2017); Bucks New University, UK (2018) and University of Greenwich, UK (2019–21).

Delivery and Return of Prints
Prints purchased from the studio outlet are produced on a per order basis and are outsourced via third party suppliers. The material resources for each item are stipulated as part of its description and include its dimension, mode of production (printing), the paper type, and its weight. Should any potential purchaser not be familiar with terminology associated with printed matter, the studio suggests conducting initial research through online search engines in order to familiarise with the differences in medium, in advance.
The studio outlet however offers refunds on purchased items 30 days after delivery, in line with UK based consumer rights in cases of damaged goods. However, returns are likewise accepted on sealed packages (all studio prints are sent in sealed tubular packaging) within the same period.
Further guidance in terms of use of prints purchased from the studio outlet is that framing of giclee prints is recommended in order to sustain the opacity of image life over a generational span. Additionally, it is recommended not to expose prints to direct sunlight, or other materials which may affect the quality of the materials of the print, or the image directly.
Moreover, it is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to hold duty of care of an artefact once purchased and delivered, and any subsequent material condition of a print is the liability of its purchaser. It is therefore requisite that exchanges of damaged prints unrelated to damaged exterior packaging in transporation and delivery which affect the print directly are not permitted.
